Conveyor Oven Used for Drying Preservation Coating

A custom field-assembled conveyor oven will be used to dry a proprietary preservation coating. Lewco Inc., Sandusky, Ohio, will design, fabricate and install the new system.

The oven, which is required to be NFPA Class A rated and installed on an existing elevated platform, will have a top-mounted direct-fired natural gas heater box with a maximum temperature of 200°F (93°C). A high efficiency circulation fan and integral plenums deliver uniform dual airflow throughout the workspace that permits parts to be evenly dried. Dual airflow is suited for irregular parts because air is delivered from both sides of the workspace and returned to a plenum in the ceiling.
